HeroSMP has two currencies. Money ($) is the everyday currency you earn by playing. Bolts are the premium currency, covered in Bolts and the Bolt Shop.
Money
You start with $1,000.

Ways to earn money:
- Sell items to the server shop
- Sell the farm and mob drops your chunk collectors catch
- Sell to other players with chest shops, the auction house and trades
- Vote ($1,000 per vote) and stand in the AFK Zone
- Win it from crates and coinflips
Server shop
Type to buy and sell everyday items. The shop has seven sections: Blocks, Colored Blocks, Farming, Food, Minerals, Mob Loot and Decorations.

Auction house
The auction house lets you buy and sell with every player, for money or Bolts.

- Listings last 48 hours. Anything that doesn't sell goes to your collection bin.
- You can have up to 7 listings at once.
- A 5% tax is taken from the seller when an item sells.
Chest shops
Run your own shop from a chest.
- Place a chest and fill it with the item you want to sell.
- Hold one of that item and hit (left click) the chest.
- Type your price in chat. Your shop is made.
You can also look at a chest and type .
- Making a shop costs $10, and changing its price later costs $50.
- There is no sales tax on chest shops.
- Everyone can own 10 shops. Ranks raise this to between 35 and 200.
- To find any item for sale, type . It can teleport you straight to a shop that sells it.
- Look at your shop and use to let a friend help run it, or to stop someone trading there.
Trading
Trade safely with another player face to face.
- Type , or sneak and right click them.
- Both of you put items, money, Bolts or experience into the trade window.
- When you both accept, a 5 second countdown runs before the trade goes through.
- Requests expire after 60 seconds. You can turn trade requests off in Settings.
Coinflip
Flip a coin against another player, or against the house. Type to open the coinflip menu.

- Against a player, the winner takes the pot minus a 5% tax. Infinity members pay no tax.
- Against the house, you have a 40% chance to win. A win pays double your bet with no tax.
Spawners
- Mine a spawner with a Silk Touch pickaxe and it goes straight into your inventory.
- Add more spawners of the same mob to a spawner to stack them. Bigger stacks spawn more mobs, up to 9,999 in one stack.
- Only one stack of each mob type fits in a chunk.
- Sneak while placing to put a whole handful of spawners down as one stack.
- Spawners can't be held in your off hand.

Chunk collectors
A chunk collector catches the farm and mob drops in its chunk and stores them for you.
- Place one in a chunk and open it to sell what it collected, take items out, filter what it keeps, or turn on auto sell.
- Only one collector works in each chunk.
- Collectors come in 1x, 1.5x and 2x. A higher multiplier sells your drops for more.
- They never take items a player threw, items dropped when someone dies, or renamed and custom items.
Buy collectors in the Bolt Shop or win them from crates.
Flight
Temporary flight is time you spend flying. It only counts down while you are in the air.

You can also get flight time from the Bolt Shop, crates and the AFK Zone. The Champion and Avenger ranks can fly with without using any flight time (see Ranks). Nobody can fly while in combat.
Player warps
Share your shops, farms and builds with everyone.

Everyone can set 1 warp, and ranks raise this. You can also pay Bolts to show your warp in the sponsored row at the top of : the first slot costs 1,000 Bolts for 7 days, down to the seventh slot at 100 Bolts for 1 day.
Vaults
Vaults are private storage you can open anywhere. Type to see yours, or to open one. You can also click the Storage Vault at spawn.
Everyone gets 1 vault with 3 rows. Ranks give more vaults, each with 6 rows. See Ranks.
